­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ THE IDEAL STORY CONTINUES ­ May 28, 1903, marked the start of a great American manufacturing story when The Ideal Electric & Manufacturing Company was founded inside of a converted carriage house in Mansfield, Ohio. At the time, who would have guessed IDEAL would grow into the globally recognized leader in specialty electric motors and generators it has become with thousands of machines running the world over.   Today, we celebrate 119 years of IDEAL ELECTRIC under private, independent ownership and more than 100 years in our historic Ohio Works. We also celebrate all the individuals, engineers, craftspeople, suppliers, and our customers whose contributions over the years created cutting-edge technology, our industrious American work ethic, and demanding projects that lead to IDEAL's industry-leading high-quality manufacturing.   With great pride, we continue to innovate, excel, and hold firm to our core values for you. MACHINES "We didn't have to build it to service it" may be news to you. Today IDEAL services all O.E.M. machines, and in this example, we have a motor with a primary complaint about how loud it had become. After a complete inspection, our team discovered that the soundproofing insulation had deteriorated and would benefit from new, modern materials. Our IDEAL engineers developed a new soundproofing scheme incorporated in the complete refurbishment of the motor and proven effective with a run on our massive test floor. ­ ­ SEE THIS POST ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ NEW BUILD GENERATORS FROM OHIO IDEAL met an urgent replacement request on schedule with our Ohio Works team seaworthy-crating this 10-megawatt 4-pole machine for export to Europe.
