Happy Holidays!

And once again - it has been a while! Oh well...I have been putting pics up just not writing as much as I would like too. Anyway maybe next year! We did take the girls for there 18 month check up yesterday, a little late since everyone in the house had respitory infections that seemed to last forever. Anyway - here are the stats..
Morgan - 30 pounds (95%) and 33 3/4 inches (95%)
Maddi - 30 pounds (95%) and 32 inches (75%)
So ....there you go....Maddi just likes to eat! She is quite happy eating - I had a playdate the other day and someone said to me, wow I have never seen your girls without food. Ouch....but it does keep them happy.(and quiet!!) And they can really snack and eat all day long. If I remember correctly Cooper did the same thing at that age and looked just like them. Now he is so tall and thin - so I don't
worry. They are taking like crazy .. new words every day. Morgan is the mother she is so very concerned about Maddi, she says her name about 100 times a day at least; and everything that she has she has to have one for Maddi. It is very cute. And then there's Maddi who has never said Morgan's name, she says Cooper, Mommy, Daddy ect but never a Morgan. So funny. Cute story - the other day Morgan was up before Maddi from nap so Morgan had a snack and insisted on having and holding Maddi's snack so I let her. She heard Maddi waking up on the moniter and ran to the stairs so excited to see her, so I let her go up the stairs and into the room first. She runs over to Maddi and says "Hi Maddi!!!" Maddi looks at her and yells "SNACK!!!" She saw food and that was all that mattered to her. I was laughing so hard! We will be staying here for the holiday's which will be nice as much as we wish we could be with everyone it is just so difficult to travel with 3 right now. But we do love you all up North and will miss you tons. We will keep posting pics as much as possible.

Hugs...

Happy Thanksgiving ..a few days late. Hope everyone enjoyed some good food and family time. We had a nice, kind of relaxing day. Went down to my parents and spent the day, the girls didn't take great naps so the last few hours were a bit of a disaster but we enjoyed ourselves for the most part. Let's see....updates. In the above pic the girls are giving each other a hug - wearing there baby legs which are kind of like leg warmers but you can pull them up so it makes it easier for diaper changes rather than wearing tights. They are pretty cool and they seemed to like them. Maddi's favorite word is "mine" right now...and Morgan's is "no" They are both talking a ton and everyday they are saying new words. Morgan is always very concerned about Maddi, for instance if I give Morgan anything..a snack, a bite of something or a toy she always has to have the same thing to give Maddi...she looks right at me holds her hand out and says "Maddi." It is very cute. She is definitely the more dominant one, she also give Cooper a run for his money. Maddi is still pretty laid back, she really likes to eat and has a favorite book that she wants to read 1000 times a day. She knows every picture and word but loves to hear it - yesterday we kind of hid it behind a few other books and I thought she was going to have a fit after she came down from her nap she went over to find it she started throwing all the other books behind her and then she finally found it and I saw a look of relief in her eyes, it was so funny. She is so cute, her facial expressions are the best. Cooper is finally listening!!! I don't know what clicked but all of a sudden he is like a new kid...I don't have to repeat myself 10 times before he does it, maybe something just clicked - I don't know but what a nice change. Over the past week Stephen has not traveled and it has been so nice for all of us to hang out and have some good quality family time. This is the most he has been home for about 5 or 6 months so we have really enjoyed it. Now back to reality I guess. We are all doing well and I am going to try and update this site more and put a few pics up every few days. Try being the key word!! Keep checking back.....

Happy 4th Birthday Cooper!

Today Cooper turns 4!! He is getting so big - I can't belive that my baby boy is four. Time just keeps ticking away...
I have not updated the blog lately, not enough time in the day. So here is the quick update. Cooper is doing well, finished up soccer a few weeks ago, he did great and really enjoyed that. He is doing very well in preschool and he really likes it. He is a big helper with his sisters and really truly loves them and takes care of them. He is very protective and sometimes tries to be a dad to them but for the most part he is good. Morgan and Maddi are well... crazy!! They are talking a ton now, they can tell you what they want usually. Everyday they say a few more words, it is amazing to watch them grow and turn into little girls. They are both starting to get a little more hair but it is still pretty thin - I just can't wait until they have enough for pigtails!! And as for us we are doing well - just celebrated our 10 year anniversary and went on a 3 night cruise, our first time away. It was WONDERFUL!! Mom and Dad W flew in to watch the kids and did a fabulous job. They all had so much fun together. I was really nervous at first to leave but after a few bottles of champagne I was fine!! ha ha... We have been putting pics up on the picture page. We went to a farm this morning and there are quite a few pics from that up. Will keep posting pics even if I don't write.

Update...

Wow - it has been a while! I have been slacking I guess...ha ha. Let's see where do we begin? Everyone is doing great! We had a great vacation to the Cape where all the kids just loved the beach. The air travel was not fun and we won't be doing that again soon but other than that they all traveled pretty well. Coop started school a few weeks ago, this year he goes 3 days a week from 9-12, it is great for him(and me too!) he is still adjusting to the new classroom and new teachers but overall he really likes it. He is also starting soccer today and he is very excited for that. The girls are getting SO big. We took them today for their 15 month check up and here are the stats:
Morgan - 28 pounds(95%) 32 3/4 inches tall(95%)
Maddi - 28 pounds(95%) 31 1/2 inches tall (90%)
So as you can see they are just big girls! Morgan is really starting to thin out and well.... Maddi isn't yet! She still has chub everywhere which we just love! They are so happy and are still loving food although they are getting a little picky these days. If we put anthing green on there plates it usually ends up on the floor within 2 seconds. So I am working on hiding veggies in other foods.
Stephen and I are doing well also, he is working and traveling a lot in the next few months. I have started training for a 15k that I will run in October so that is keeping me busy as well as chasing 3 kids around all day long! We did post pics from the Cape and I will continue to post pics just not finding a lot of time these days for updates but I will try to do better.

Flowers for Mommy

Okay so I have to brag a little bit about the cutest little boy in the whole world, Cooper! Last week we started giving him chores to do and if he does them for the week then he gets his allowance of $1.00 on Saturday. His chores include cleaning up his plate after all meals, sweeping the floor after him and the girls and picking up all the toys at the end of the day and putting them in the correct places. He has been doing a great job. Anyway, yesterday he got his first dollar and we went to a local farmers market. We were looking around and next thing he saw a little stand where they were selling flowers. We saw him reach into his pocket and pull his dollar out and then we watched to see what he was going to do. He walked up to the lady and said he would like to buy some flowers then showed her exactly which ones he wanted (they were $2 but he didn't know that) he told her he just got his first allowance(as he is waving his dollar bill in the air) for doing chores and he wanted to buy these flowers for his mommy.....we just sat behind him and let him do all the talking and watched (so proudly of course!) She wrapped them up and gave them to him and he ran over to me and said "Mommy these are for you!" Good thing I had big sunglasses on b/c I had tears running down my face!! These are the moments in life that we will never forget, I felt appreciated by my 3 1/2 year old. It is and was the best feeling ever.

Morgan

Morgan's One Year Stats: 24 pounds and 30 inches (90% and 75% percentile)

Morgan - the crazy one as we call her! She is not lacking personality that is for sure. She is extreamly outgoing and always happy. Over the past few weeks she has been obsessed with her birthday tutu, she wants to wear it ALL the time. She finds it brings it over to me, sits down and puts her feet in it, no matter what she is wearing!! She also loves shoes, jewlery and anything else girly! She is talking quite a bit, her favorite words are HI! and bye-bye, she also says books, ball, nana, and a few others. The other day she has decided to be a little helper and she brought me 2 diapers so I could change her and Maddi. Then after I got them dressed she picked up there pajamas one piece at a time and walked them over to the hamper - it was amazing. We told her good girl and she started clapping for herself, so proud. She is also pretty aggresive though, she gives Cooper a run for his money if he takes something she will go after him fighting and screaming. She likes to take things from Maddi b/c she doesn't take them back usually she just cries! But latley Maddi has been fighting back - and they have actually been in a "fight" a few times. I did see Morgan show her teeth one time and that is when I jumped in and said "no no" I just pray we don't have a biter on our hands. They both understand what "no" means sometimes better than Cooper I think! Morgan is very outgoing and loves people and attention - she on the other hand thinks she doesn't need to nap and after about 5 minutes in the highchair she is ready to get down and run around. She is into everything - reminds me of Cooper at that age.

Maddi-kins

I decided to post some individual pics and talk about each on seperate instead of putting them together this time...
Maddi's One Year Stats - 26 pounds and 29 inches (95% and 50% percentile)

Maddi's personality has really changed over this first year, she has become such a happy laid back girl. She loves to sit back and watch what is going on. She is the more cautious one. She is very loud and likes to be heard - - her two favorite things are sleeping and eating. A girl after mommy's own heart! She loves Cooper and always wants to see what he is doing, he calls her Baby kins, he made it up and he loves it. He always wants to kiss and hug her first thing in the morning and she has started giving kisses back. The sweetest thing is in the morning when we go and get them out of their cribs we carry them both down the stairs at the same time and Maddi leans over and gives Morgan a kiss - Morgan has started leaning in for it, it is so cute. Maddi loves daddy and says dada all day long. Now that Stephen has started commuting to Atlanta she doesn't get to see him during the week and she will go outside his office door and look at me and say "da da?" It is very sweet. In the middle picture you will notice the pacifier, she has never taken one until lately - she was sick last week and that is all she wanted. She is also cutting two teeth on top so she likes to bite on it. But hopefully we will get rid of that soon!

Happy 1st Birthday Morgan and Maddi

Well we made it through the first year!! Hooray for us...haha. The girls had a great day today, we had the family over and let them open presents and go at their own cakes. Maddi was the first to "dig in" She started nice and slow just dipping her finger in the frosting and licking it off then all of a sudden she decided it was much more efficient to just bite the cake! Morgan tried to pick up the entire thing and bite it. They both had fun and had cake all over them from head to toe! Even up their noses, it was great! They are both doing well however they are both getting teeth yet again so we have our moments now and then. They have also started "fighting" it is crazy - - mostly over me. One is sitting in my lap then the other comes over and gently pushes that one out of the way then all heck brakes loose! Maddi has started head butting, I couldn't believe it the first time I saw it but now I know when she is getting ready to do it and I say loudly "NO" and she stops. Morgan has started biting, so far she has only bitten me and hopefully she won't get to Maddi or else that would be ugly. We bring them tomorrow for their one year check up so I will post the stats tomorrow. Cooper is doing well - I am trying to keep him as busy as possible. His first camp starts next week, it is Bugs camp and he is very excited about that. Overall we are doing well - lots of changes going on around here so busy as always!

Maddi - Miss Personality

Here is a pic of Maddi from our cookout yesterday, she has become quite the little ham these days. If she sees a camera she poses and has a big cheesy smile, she is too funny. She also loves trying to get the attention of any guy - she is a guys girl. Yesterday at the grocery store the sushi chef was talking to her and next thing I know she is blinking her eyes real quick at him, it was the funniest thing I have every seen. They just keep changing everyday. Morgan has not been in a good mood over the past few days, we think she is cutting her molars, she is very irratable and clumsy as well. She has a black eye from falling in the tub, then she fell again today and has a bruise on her forehead she is a mess. We had a cookout yesterday for memorial day it was fun - didn't have time to take a lot of pics but hopefully we will get some from other cameras and post them later.

Back home...

Well - it has been a while since I have updated. But we have been putting pics up on the picture pages just have not had time to write a blog. Here is the scoop. We had a wonderful vacation at Rosemary Beach in Florida last week. We rented a beautiful house on the water and decided to bring Cati our sitter and we had a blast! We will not be traveling without Cati now - we love her and we all had a great time. It was so awesome to have a extra set of hands with us at all times and Stephen and I were even able to go out at night after the girls were down, it was great! We all enjoyed it so much. We have know the girls are very different but vacation brought out all the differences. Morgan and Cooper have similar personalities, they love the beach, water, sand, pools everything. Maddi on the other hand hated sand, the beach, pools. The first time we put her on the beach I thought she was being bitten by bugs or something I could not figure out why she was screaming!! Then I realized she hated the sand. It was too funny but we all adjusted and still managed to have a great time. We arrived home to a visit by Stephen's parents which has been so much fun. They are so great and such a huge help. They are here until Sunday and I don't want them to leave! Today was Coop's last day of preschool so Summer has oficially started - - now I have to figure out what our schedule will consist of for the summer. He will be going to a few day camps which will be nice for him and me! The girls are crazy - they go in two different directions all the time but are really starting to communicate with eachother now. It is a lot of fun to watch them. I can't believe they are going to be 1 in a few weeks. Wait for pictures of their birthday outfits from Auntie Lisa - they are going to be SO stinking cute! I will put more pics up later and try to update more.

Fun Packed Saturday

Mommy ran a 5K in Davidson to start the morning off (came in 2nd in age group!). Cooper, Daddy, and us girls cheered Mommy on. After that we hung out at the town green. There was a big town festival and Cooper had a lot of fun. He went on the moon bounce, a fire truck slide, through a tunnel, climbed a rock wall, and put out a fire with a real firehose....all before 10 am. Us girls went home for a nap and then we all went to a second festival at the hospital where we were born. It was a great day.

Nonna and the girls

Looks like I have not posted in a while - that is because I have two crazy girls both walking and going in different directions ALL day long. Oh then add a high energy 3 year old to the mix and hmmm well that is my day. And why didn't anyone tell us that 3 is SO much harder then 2?? My goodness I feel like all we do is discpline all day long, and they are so smart they just know how to get you. Hopefully it will pass soon because he is driving us crazy! The girls are absolutely nuts, I really didn't think walking would be too much different since they have been crusing for a while now but it is a lot different. Morgan is into everything - the pantry door was open a crack and I watched her, she took her hand and knew exactly how to open it and in a matter of seconds had taken about 10 things off the shelf all onto the floor. Then goes onto another room to see what she can get into there. Needless to say we headed to Babies R Us today to get some good gates. We asked Cooper where we should put the gates and he said he thought we should put the gates and the girls outside. Well the weather is getting nice hmmmm. Hopefully I will get some good pics this week of the girls walking and I will post them.
