Look at the big girls!

Well....it has been a few weeks since I last posted or at least a week and things have changed! The girls only want to stand now, forget sitting and playing with toys anymore that is a thing of the past. Morgan will actually throw herself back if I try to get her to sit because she wants to stand. She has major attitude lately, I REALLY don't know who she takes after these days(ha ha!) She will pull herself up from a sitting position to her knees then looks for anything to pull up on. Maddi can get onto her knees from a sitting position as well. They both are doing the "butt scoot" where they are sitting and thrust themselves forward to get where ever they want, so they look hilarious scooting on their bums across the room. But it gets them where they to be and that is all that matters. Morgan is getting her top teeth right now and Maddi is finally starting to cut her bottom teeth. They are sleeping well and very happy for the most part. We are finally on two naps now and they are in bed by 7 which is great for us to have some one on one time with Cooper. Speaking of Cooper he is doing well, getting bigger by the day. We are taking him to the circus on Saturday and he is very excited, but he said we have to be careful of the elephants! He is doing well in school and enjoying it. He loves his sisters he calls them his babies, he told me at the park the other day that his babies were getting so big and he can't wait for them to walk - I told him oh I can! I have been training for a half marathon for a little over a month now, the race is in April so hopefully I will be ready by then. Stephen has also started taking up running and he is going to do a 10k in April. That is the news around here for now...I will put some more pics up soon.

Super Cute Big Girls...

Here is a pic from the other day of the girls with their super cute onsies on - if you can't see they actually have capes on the back of them, they are so cute! Thanks Auntie Lisa! I have had to take the girls to the doctor over the last week for various reasons and they weighed in at...Maddie - 22 pounds and Morgan - drum roll please.....24 pounds!!! I just checked and Cooper was 24 pounds 11 ounces at 9 months.(and we thought he was big!) The girls are 7 months old, what is going on?? I have HUGE kids! They are happy and that is all that matters and besides a muffin top looks cute on them and they can actually get away with it for once in their life!

Happy New Year!

Wow...it has been a while. Let's see the girls are in high school now...kidding of course. We have just been very busy with the holidays and everyone being sick. But we are all better now thank goodness and having some great weather this week here in NC. So many updates... where do I start? Morgan got her band off as of today - yeah! She is very happy and her head is beautiful. Maddi still has about one more week, she has not grown as fast as Morgan so there is one spot that should be corrected by next week but we will see. The reason Maddi is wearing the band that says Morgan in this picture is because I decided to redecorate them last week and during the process they somehow got mixed up and I put the wrong bands on the wrong baby....oops. No big deal since Maddi didn't have any growth this week. But I sure did confuse the therapist today! Maddi is saying "da da" all the time , she wakes up and starts whispering it then it gets louder as the day goes on. Morgan is just starting to "talk" but she is loud that is for sure. Morgan has decided to be the "alpha" and takes everything away from Maddi. Maddi has become very laid back and just kind of lets her do her thing. Morgan has also decided to let Cooper have it if he gets in her face too much, she takes her hands and puts them right in his face and pushes him almost to say "you are in my space!" I don't think she will let anything get by her, she is a fiesty one....not sure where she gets that from?? Cooper is doing great, he is starting to listen better and he loved Christmas this year. He would have been happy just with his stocking - he was just so excited to open things and watch the girls. The girls loved ripping the paper off presents and it was so fun to watch all 3 of them. They are both sitting up great as you can see from the pics and Maddi is starting to scoot a little now. They are 7 months as of tomorrow, time just flies. I will try to update more now that things have settled down but I did put a few new picture pages up and will continue to do that.

Girls 6 Month Stats and Coops 3 year

Well....here they are.
Coop - 39 pounds and he is 3 feet 2 inches - 90th % for weight and 70th% for height

Morgan - 20 pounds 10 ounces and 26 1/4 inches long - off the charts for weight! and 75th% for height

Maddi - 20 pounds even and 26 inches long - same %'s as Morgan

As you can see everyone seems to be growing like weeds here, all is well. Hopefully I will get some pics up this weekend, it has been a bit crazy around here. Morgan cut her first tooth on Wednesday with the 2nd right behind and Maddi looks like she will be cutting her first any day now. Fun stuff!!

Little Chunkers

Here is a pic from last night during there one hour break from the helmets. They are getting so big! The helmets are already doing there job and it is amazing to see the difference already in there head shapes. The helmets do not bother them one bit, in fact I think they like them. Now if I could only find a way to get the stink out of them....we clean them everynight but they still stink. I could not imagine if they had to wear them during the summer.
Things are going well here, back to a semi-normal schedule with the girls although teething makes each day a little different so we just try to roll with it. Coop is doing good, although since he turned 3 he has been really testing us. We have one good day then one bad so we are just trying to stay on top of things and make sure he knows we are boss and he is not! He does love his sisters and can make them laugh like nobody else can, it is very cute. He is excited for Christmas and all he keeps asking for is a fire pole for his playground out back. So hopefully we can find one that works. We will see. We take him for his 3 year check up ( a little late) on Thursday and the girls 6 month on Friday so I will post all the stats then.

Look at our helmets!

Well we finally got around to decorating the helmets today, and the girls just feel so much prettier now! They are doing great, adjusting wonderfully. Morgan had some issues with her helmet rubbing a spot on her head but they adjusted it and she is doing much better now. Maddi is doing great, she actually pats her head when we take it off during bath time wondering where it is. Cooper wanted a helmet as well so for the first day he wore his bike helmet around everywhere we went. You should have seen the looks I got at Starbucks with all 3 of them in there helmets. I said he was supporing his sisters! We bring the girls for there 6 month check up next week so I will post the stats then. I think they are tipping the scales for there age. We took out some baby pictures of me last week (Kim) and they look nothing like me at this age, I was a skinny small baby so I think they may be taking after Daddy again...hopefully at least 1 will look like me eventually. I can't have all 3 looking like Stephen that would just not be fair! More pics to come...

The Family Got Elfed

Only four could be elfed at one time so Dad was the unlucky one not to dance and sing.

Helmet Day

The girls got their head bands today. Hopefully in 9 weeks they will have perfectly round heads. They don't seem to mind it much.

Fun with a mustache!

Grandma and Grandpa W arrived on Saturday and we are all having so much fun. Coops didn't want to share them at first with the girls but he is doing much better now. We have not posted in a while - lots going on here. We were all sick for about 2 weeks but we are all doing much better now. The girls had their first ear infections and that was not fun at all. While we were at the docs they weighed the girls and they are both 18 1/2 pounds! They are getting so big, they have rolls everywhere. Speaking of rolls, they are both rolling over and loving food. So far they have had oatmeal, peaches, carrots and sweet potatoes. Morgan loves food and can't seem to get enough and Maddi likes it but is not crazy about it. I think she likes her bottle a little better - too much work to eat off a spoon! They will both get there helmets next week. They will have them on for 9 weeks, 23 hours a day so that is going to be a huge adjustment for all of us I am sure. Stephen is so excited to decorate them! We will put more pics up on the picture page and I will try to update this page more. There just doesn't seem to be enough time in the day most days!!

Cooper is Three

Coopers Birthday was on the Tuesday. He recieved some great presents from family and friends (thanks!), but they have been spread out over the week so he expects a new present every night. Coleman's birthday is on the 17th, so we had a joint party at Monkey Joe's today. It was mahem, but the kid's loved it.

Everyone in the house has been on the sick side for the last week or so. The girls have the junk and have been projectile 1-2 times a day from gagging (too much info). It hasn't been a pretty picture around the house. Splatter stains everywhere.

It was tought to take pictures at the party today, but we posted some on the webalbum (click picture page on the right).

So happy together....

Here is a pic from last week of the girls swinging together, they love it!

We are all doing well, Maddi and Cooper are getting over a nasty cough. Stephen arrived home last night from Denmark and I am taking off tomorrow morning for a girls night away...I may not come back! Just kidding, I am really excited but also nervous since this will be my first time leaving the girls. I know they will be fine and Daddy can handle it.

We will post more pics later this weekend.

Four Month Update

Well...it has been a long time since we posted, pictures are getting taken less and there just seems to be less hours in the day. Needless to say the girls are 4 months and doing fantastic. Here are their stats..
Madilyn (on the right) - 15 pounds 12 oz. (90%) Height 23 inches (50%)
Morgan (on the left) - 16 pounds 3 oz. (95%) Height 23 1/2 inches (50%)
As you can see we like big babies!! As several people tell us, wow those are healthy babies. They were both congested today so the doc wanted us to wait on shots until next week just in case they were coming down with something, hopefully they get better soon. Morgan is worse then Maddie but Maddie has NO gag reflex so if she has anything in her throat she throws up everything, like 8 ounces of formula at one time - not pretty. The bad news at the appointment was that since the back of their heads are looking very flat we are going to have to meet with a neurologist to discuss the possibility of helmets for both of them. They both really liked sleeping on their backs and keeping their heads in one position which caused flat spots on the back of their heads. It is purely cosmetic as of now but can become a problem if the ears start to shift, so we would rather get it corrected sooner than later. Now the sleep in several positions but the damage is done and the only way of getting the head back to the correct shape will be with the help of a helmet. We will find out next week when our appointment is but they say there is at least a 6 week wait time. We will keep you all up to date. It makes me sad to think of them with helmets on but then I have to think of how blessed we are with two beautiful healthy girls.
Cooper is doing well - he loves school, asks every day if he is going. He just got his costume for halloween and will be a penguin. He loves it and wants to wear it all the time. He is excited that his birthday is coming and he will be 3! Loves his sisters and makes them laugh all the time, they love to watch him dance and be crazy.
Other than that, Stephen is traveling a lot these days, I am doing well for the most part - ready for a glass of wine around the 2 o'clock hour but other than that not too much is new here. We are getting out more and more which is nice. We will put some pics up this weekend for sure.

The three amigos!

We are home!! Okay about the picture, probably the only time you will see the girls in these costumes(sorry Lisa!) but after we snapped the pics they both had complete meltdowns! If you can't tell what Morgan is supposed to be it is a peanut and of course Maddi as a pumpkin. And Cooper as himself in his new sleeper that he loves. Not sure what he will be yet. We had a wonderful time on the Cape, everyone traveled so well. Maddi had a tough time on the way home but as long as I was standing she was okay, so that is what I did. Everyone was back on schedule the next day which was great since that was a concern of mine. Coop loved the Cape and can't wait to go back, he had so much fun with his Mima and Dida, aunties, cousins and friends. Stephen has him convinced that we should move back.....but mom and the girls have other plans, like spending the summers there and rest of the time in NC. Sounds good huh?
Back to the grind here - Stephen leaves again tomorrow for Brazil for a week. Mom is coming to help so that will be nice. I have things pretty much under control here except for the night routine, that is where I still need a little help so it will be nice to have Mom here. I added some more pics up on the picture page, also Maddi's first laugh which is so cute.

Riding the 11 pound lobster!

We made it to Cape Cod....everything went extreamly well. The girls did great on the plane both drank their bottles on take off then fell asleep for the rest of the flight. Cooper also took a nap so it was great. We did get lots off "geeze I hope I am not sitting next to those people" looks but we expected that.
Everyone is adjusting well and doing wonderful, the girls are sleeping together in a pack and play and doing great, I think the salt air makes everyone sleep better. We took them to the beach today and they both loved it, the took short naps and enjoyed the scenery. We are having a great time and the weather is perfect. We had lobster tonight but could not find anything big enough to cook the 11 pounder in so we are taking it to Lisa's work tomorrow to have it steamed, no worries though we only had about 8 more to choose from(sorry mom and dad I know you are just dying reading this!)
We will try to update the pics each day since I know we will have lots to put up.

Kim's b-day was on Sunday. It was wild and crazy, but we forgot to take the camera to document it. Actually, it has been a nice family weekend at home.

Sleeping thru the night!

Life is good....Morgan and Maddi started sleeping from 9pm-7am last week and it is wonderful! Except for last night for some reason Maddi decided she wanted to be up around the 2:30 hour, then 3:30 then 4:30 finally at 5 I gave in and made her a small bottle and she sucked it down and went right back to sleep. She slept a ton yesterday so I am guessing she is going through a growth spurt. Morgan on the other hand slept from 8:30pm to 8am last night! So overall they are doing awesome. They are such good babies, it was just figuring them both out that took a while. They will be 3 months on Friday, I can't believe it.
This week has gone by very fast but we are ready for Stephen to come back that is for sure. Coop has been good for the most part but still wants all of my attention all of the time which is just not possible! He met his teachers today and will start pre-school next week so we are both very excited, I think it will be so good for all of us.
I will put some more pics up when I have a free hand!
