2 Hours Flat....

Well thanks for all the support, it is over. I finished my first(and last) half marathon (13.1 miles) My goal was A. To finish and B. To finish in 2 hours. So I am very proud and glad it is done! I trained for 4 months and it all paid off. I have to say it was a lot harder than I expected the course was extreamly hilly at one point I thought I was running up a mountain! (ha ha!) Stephen and the kids were their cheering me on at the half way point and then waiting for me at the finish and I think that is what got me thru it. From now on I will stick to 10k's and 5k's this marathon stuff will kill ya!

Summer weather!

Today was just perfect weather - about 78 degrees and sunny. We spent most of the day outside playing. Cooper spent a lot of time collecting caterpillars which seem to have taken over out backyard. He is 100% boy - if it wasn't caterpillars it was covering himself with sand or digging in the dirt. Morgan's top teeth have finally decided to come thru, they have been showing for over a month now but just didn't break the skin, hopefully she will find some relief now. Maddi's are still showing but have not broken thru quite yet. They have both now tried to eat mulch, rocks, sand and pineneedles, they really like chewing the rocks and mulch the best. They are nuts, they put everything in their mouths, hopefully they will learn soon. I think we must be starving them; poor things. Hopefully the weather stays nice outside I have so many new summer outfits for the girls that they have to start wearing before they grow out of them! I updated the picture page again tonight - more to come.

We love to walk!

Well - it has bee a while since I have updated. Let's see both girls are VERY mobile now, they are taking about 7-10 steps at a time then they fall on their bums gracefully. If we turn for a minute they are gone, we caught Morgan playing in the toilet water last week, thank god it was clean!! She is just a wild one, she screams and chases Cooper around the house;it is too funny. They still do this funny crawl where they use one leg and one arm and fly around the house finding anything and everything to stand up on. They are really starting to communicate to eachother as wel,l mostly when we leave them in a room by themselves, they look at one another and "talk." Sometimes they like to see who can be louder (Maddi wins these days) and other times they just laugh at eachother. It is so fun to watch. They still love food(imagine that!) and want to try anything that we are eating. Morgan loves to read books, every morning after her bottle she goes over to the books and picks a few out and sits and turns the pages, sometimes she eats them as well but mostly likes to look at the pictures. I swear she can say apple, Stephen thinks I am crazy but she has said it to me at least 5 times, even Cooper heard it. Of course she won't do it on demand but I will get it on video one day. Cooper is doing well - he is off from school this week, trying to keep him busy but he has a lot of energy, I am exhausted by the end of the day keeping up with all 3. My half marathon is on Saturday, I am getting nervous....I am just ready to get it over with. Check out the picture pages I have been trying to update them each week.

The weather this weekend was great. Today we went to Grandma and Granpa's and had lots of fun with all the cousins. Check out the picture page. There were some really cute pictures of the kids.

Look No Hands!

Well our girls are officially mobile now....lots of changes! They are both standing with no hands and balancing for up to a minute, they have both tried to take steps and usually end up catching themselves. Morgan is doing the army crawl and can get anywhere in a matter of seconds, she is crazy. If she sees something that she wants there is NO stopping her, she will find a way to get it no matter what. Stephen says it reminds him of me, I can't understand why he would say that?? Maddi is much more reserved and very scared of falling so she is very careful but is starting to get the army crawl down as well. They love food - anything and everything. They want to try whatever we are eating....and for the most part we let them. They love pancakes just like big brother Cooper. They think he should share everything with them and he does most of the time. We have been slack on the picture taking lately so this is the only new pic I have of Maddi but I will try to take more this week. Stephen has been traveling a lot so that makes it hard! I did take them for their 9 month check up today and below are the stats.
Morgan - 23 pounds 10 ounces
Height - 29 inches
Maddi - 24 pounds
Height - 28 1/2 inches
They are both in the 90th percentile all around but our doc says he has never seen twin girls that big!

We went to a event today sponsered by the twins club that I am in and we took these pics. Coop found lots of easter eggs and had a blast, the girls had a great time watching all the kids. I will post more pictures; however there is not one picture that all 3 are looking - that is just impossible!

Daddy we miss you!

Stephen has been in Brazil since Monday, he arrives home tomorrow and we are all so ready! We miss him tons - and can't wait to see him. The girls have both learned how to say MAMA very well while he has been gone. They compete to see who can be louder, Maddi usually wins....that girls has some serious lungs. Another new trick - today I went to get Morgan after her nap, I heard her laughing really hard and I looked in the video moniter and she was standing in her crib so proud of herself. They are so crazy. Cooper has been SO good while Daddy has been away, he is such a big helper. He can't wait to see what Daddy brings home home, he says he just wants pizza? Not sure about that!

Our New Wagon

Here is a pic from today of the kids in our new wagon - I thought it would be a great idea for walks to the park, Starbucks ect. However today they both tried to climb out about half way on our walk .....maybe in a few more months!

Cooper's New Hobby

Here are a few pics of Coop from yesterday morning. His new favorite thing is waking up early and putting on crazy outfits, this is what he came up with yesterday. It is hard not to laugh when he greets you at 6:45am saying "like my outfit?" He is a mess!

Morgan in action....

Here are a few pics of Morgan's true personality - she is such a jokester! She laughs ALL the time, at anything, it is hilarious. She is very outgoing and wants everyone to talk to her and look at her when we go out. She is crazy - she wants to stand all the time and is even trying to walk a little bit, she lets go of things to see how long she can free stand. I have a feeling she will be walking within a month. You can see Maddi in the backround just watching TV and chilling out, and that says it all. She is very laid back and just watches everything around her and takes it all in. They are SO different but it is so much fun to watch them both.

This morning I was in the kitchen - I looked over and this is what I saw, this was not posed at all. Cooper and Morgan just sitting there together, Cooper watching a show and Morgan playing with toys, it was so sweet. He just loves his sisters so much. I am going to put lots of new pics up on the picture page so stay tuned.....

Look at the big girls!

Well....it has been a few weeks since I last posted or at least a week and things have changed! The girls only want to stand now, forget sitting and playing with toys anymore that is a thing of the past. Morgan will actually throw herself back if I try to get her to sit because she wants to stand. She has major attitude lately, I REALLY don't know who she takes after these days(ha ha!) She will pull herself up from a sitting position to her knees then looks for anything to pull up on. Maddi can get onto her knees from a sitting position as well. They both are doing the "butt scoot" where they are sitting and thrust themselves forward to get where ever they want, so they look hilarious scooting on their bums across the room. But it gets them where they to be and that is all that matters. Morgan is getting her top teeth right now and Maddi is finally starting to cut her bottom teeth. They are sleeping well and very happy for the most part. We are finally on two naps now and they are in bed by 7 which is great for us to have some one on one time with Cooper. Speaking of Cooper he is doing well, getting bigger by the day. We are taking him to the circus on Saturday and he is very excited, but he said we have to be careful of the elephants! He is doing well in school and enjoying it. He loves his sisters he calls them his babies, he told me at the park the other day that his babies were getting so big and he can't wait for them to walk - I told him oh I can! I have been training for a half marathon for a little over a month now, the race is in April so hopefully I will be ready by then. Stephen has also started taking up running and he is going to do a 10k in April. That is the news around here for now...I will put some more pics up soon.

Snow Day!!

Super Cute Big Girls...

Here is a pic from the other day of the girls with their super cute onsies on - if you can't see they actually have capes on the back of them, they are so cute! Thanks Auntie Lisa! I have had to take the girls to the doctor over the last week for various reasons and they weighed in at...Maddie - 22 pounds and Morgan - drum roll please.....24 pounds!!! I just checked and Cooper was 24 pounds 11 ounces at 9 months.(and we thought he was big!) The girls are 7 months old, what is going on?? I have HUGE kids! They are happy and that is all that matters and besides a muffin top looks cute on them and they can actually get away with it for once in their life!
